Google Merchant Center: Invalid product price · Invalid value [price] · Missing value [price]

Your product's price is missing, zero or invalid

What Google's message means

The price sent to Google is empty, 0 or below, or isn't in a format Google accepts. Google only allows a price of 0 for phones and tablets sold with a contract or installment plan.

Why it matters

Products without a valid price can't show in Shopping ads or free listings.

Common causes on Shopify

  • Free gifts, samples or bundle parts priced at $0 are sent to Google.
  • A feed app mapped price from an empty field.
  • The currency or number format is wrong for the target country.

How to fix it

  1. 1Find the affected variants. Free gifts, samples and $0 bundle components are the usual culprits.
  2. 2Set a real price above 0, or exclude free items from your Google channel.
  3. 3Check that the price uses a valid currency for the country you target.
  4. 4Let the channel resync. Google says changes can take 24–72 hours to show.

In Shopify: Variant prices are in Products → product → Variants. Filter your product list by price to spot $0 items.

How to stop it coming back

  • Exclude free and gift products from the Google channel when you create them.

Common questions
